1965-1968 Ford Small Block, C4 Transmission Kickdown Conversion Kit-2V or 4V

This kit is used to convert 1965 thru 1968 small block Ford cars over to a kickdown rod if they were built with the original bellcrank/cable arrangement that is no longer available and nearly impossible to find parts for.

NOTE: YOUR CARBURETOR MUST HAVE A KICKDOWN LEVER INSTALLED IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO USE THIS KICKDOWN ROD.

EDELBROCK CARBS REQUIRE THEIR PART # 1483, FORD KICKDOWN ROD ADAPTER.

All setups with an Edelbrock carb will require a custom rod be built due to their kickdown design. Please tell us if you have one installed.

Select YES if you have a highrise manifold or a carb spacer 1” or greater installed. A custom rod is required.

The kit comes with a stock C-4 lever and a stainless steel kickdown rod with two "E" clips to retain the rod at each end. An adjustment procedure is also provided. As with all my rods, the bushings are permanently installed like the OEM did them.

NOTE: Cars or trucks with Quickfuel Carburetors- please contact us as a different transmission kickdown lever is required.

NOTE: A different transmission kickdown lever is required for cars with column shifts. PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU HAVE A COLUMN SHIFT.

NOTE: If you are using a Holley 4 barrel carburetor and do not have the kickdown rod return spring kit that is needed, go to this link to pick up the spring kit.
