1970 Torino CJ, Merc Cyclone CJ or GT 429 C6 Transmission Kickdown Rod
This kickdown rod is made of stainless steel and will remain elegant looking its entire life. The bushings are permanently installed just like the OEM bushings were.
This rod has the return spring hole located in the side of the rod at the down bend per OEM design. 4V only! Select YES for a custom rod if you have an aftermarket high rise intake manifold installed or a carb spacer 1”or greater. If you need a custom rod, please NOTE what it is about your application that makes it custom so I will know how to build the rod.
NOTE: YOUR CARBURETOR MUST HAVE A KICKDOWN LEVER INSTALLED IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO USE THIS KICKDOWN ROD.
EDELBROCK CARBS REQUIRE THEIR PART # 1483, FORD KICKDOWN ROD ADAPTER.
All setups with an Edelbrock carb will require a custom rod be built due to their kickdown design. Please tell us if you have one installed.
