This kickdown rod is made of 304 stainless steel and was recently reproduced using an OEM rod as a template. It was then verified for fitment by the buyer who provided the template rod for us to duplicate.

The bushings are permanently installed just like the OEM did them.

All setups with an Edelbrock carb will require a custom rod be built due to their kickdown design. Please tell us if you have one installed. Their pt # 1483, Adapter for Ford kickdown rod must be used in order to connect it.

If you are using a Holley 4 barrel carb, please be sure that you have a kickdown rod return spring kit installed on it. We have those in our store under Miscellaneous.

NEVER CONNECT A KICKDOWN ROD DIRECTLY TO THE THROTTLE LEVER ON THE CARBURETOR!
